Soup Kitchen Thinking

This is a post that wrote last year, but I hope that it will give you an idea of what I am about.  One of the things that I oppose the most is this idea of "following your heart" or "doing what feels right".  We simply need to get back to what works. - Luke

You gotta love liberals.  I love the self centered ego-maniacal thinking that goes on.  "Let's join this cause or let's go that cause. These poor people that don't have food, we need to go over there and hand it out in plates.  We need to remind people every day that they are beggars and second class citizens."   No one is denying that fact that people need to be helped but it is how we go about it.  You can't live in the soup kitchen.

A liberal mindset doesn't see a person as a friend, asset, or even a human being.  It sees them as a pet and project.  The only question asked is "Can I fix this person and bring them to a level that I feel comfortable with them occupying?  And once they are there I will pat myself on the back and keep them on display so everybody knows how good I am."

We must leave behind a charity and entitlement way of thinking.  If you are a person who is on hard times, don't let yourself start thinking that people owe you something.  If you are in prospers times don't try to quite your soul by giving hand outs.  Even if the only thing you know how to do is work hard, give that to someone who doesn't have it.  You have a wide open market.

Don't put on a "political thinking cap".  People agree with ideas that, when applied to real life, make no sense. *cough* Communism *cough* Stop and think about what we are doing.  Let's stop being frightened managers and friends.  Stop fearing the day when you see your friends do more than you ever thought they could.  When people do great things they aren't taking anything from you.  You couldn't have done what they did anyway, your different people.  Do what you do, they do what they do and you both stay friends.

Look at the mindset in America.  Most people want to complain about how they don't get paid enough money at their job rather than go out, find investors, low interest loans, and tax breaks to start a business of their own.  It comes from the prevalent "help these people because there sure isn't anything they can do for themselves" attitude.  Don't open another soup kitchen, start an apprenticeship program that pays partially in room and board.

Remember that everybody had to start.  So start where ever you are at.  If you have an idea kicking around in your head, find a way to put it into action.  If you find out if doesn't work then go to the next idea.

If you're reading this you can do more than what you are thinking right now.  Ask yourself what happens after the dream is achieved?  That's how to turn a dream into a goal, make the step after the new dream.  Apply it to everything you do.  Dream about something and then go one more step.  The reason that people don't achieve is because they can't see the next step.

Quote from Rush Limbaugh

"You have to understand something about liberalism. All of this is based on contempt and condescension. In order for the Democrats to occupy the position they occupy, liberalism in general, you have to not think much of people. You have to believe they can't do much on their own.

George Clooney probably thinks Hollywood had more to do with the civil rights issue and cause than Martin Luther King. He probably believes that Hollywood is so important in all these social and cultural issues, because he can't get past the fact that he thinks he's important. All of this is a "notice me, notice me" sort of problem that these people have. They have a highly inflated sense of self-importance, but they also look at people with condescension and contempt. Liberals especially, they look out across our society and they see people who are helpless. They want people to be helpless. Can't get into college without them, can't drive a car and buckle a seat belt without them, demanding they do it, all these little things, and you can think of many others yourself, it's all based on contempt and condescension. And this is the attitude that these people have. "
